Terms and Conditions for East Anglia FireScope Ltd.

  1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“T&Cs”) govern the use of services provided by East Anglia FireScope Ltd. (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By engaging with our services, you (“Client,” “You,” or “Your”) agree to comply with these terms. These T&Cs are subject to change, and any modifications will be posted on our website or provided to you directly.

  1. Services Provided

East Anglia FireScope Ltd. provides fire safety inspection services, including but not limited to fire risk assessments and passive fire surveys (“Services”). Our Services are designed to assess compliance with fire safety regulations and provide recommendations based on our findings.

  1. Service Agreement
  • The Client agrees to provide accurate and complete information necessary for the completion of the Services.
  • We will perform the Services to the best of our ability, in compliance with UK fire safety regulations (including the Fire Safety Act 2022 and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005).
  • All Services are provided as independent inspections; we do not engage in any remedial work or repairs.
  1. Fees and Payment
  • All fees for the Services are quoted in advance, and payment is due upon receipt of the invoice, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Payments must be made by the due date specified on the invoice. Late payments will incur a late fee of 2% per month on the outstanding balance.
  • We accept payments via [credit card, bank transfer, etc.]. Details will be provided on the invoice.
  1. Cancellation and Rescheduling
  • If the Client needs to cancel or reschedule a service appointment, they must notify us at least 48 hours in advance.
  • Failure to provide 48 hours’ notice may result in a cancellation fee or rescheduling charges to cover the cost of lost time and resources.
  1. Confidentiality and Data Protection
  • We will handle all information provided by the Client in accordance with data protection laws and our privacy policy.
  • We will not disclose the Client’s information to third parties unless required by law or as necessary to perform the Services.
  1. Liability
  • East Anglia FireScope Ltd. will provide Services with reasonable skill and care. However, we do not accept liability for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from our inspections or recommendations.
  • The Client is responsible for implementing any corrective actions based on our recommendations.
  1. Intrusive Surveys and Responsibility for Damage
  • If an intrusive survey is requested by the Client, East Anglia FireScope Ltd. will take reasonable care to minimize any damage to the property. However, the Client acknowledges that such surveys may require the removal of fixtures, such as architraves, panels, or other elements, in order to conduct a thorough inspection.
  • The Client agrees to bear the full responsibility for making good any damage caused and for the refitting or replacement of any items that were removed during the survey. This includes any costs related to repairs, restoration, or reinstallation of fixtures that were necessary for the survey.
  • East Anglia FireScope Ltd. will not be liable for any damage caused during intrusive surveys beyond the normal wear and tear of inspection.
  1. Intellectual Property
  • All reports, assessments, and intellectual property created by East Anglia FireScope Ltd. in the course of providing Services are the property of East Anglia FireScope Ltd. and may not be used, reproduced, or distributed without our prior written consent.
  1. Force Majeure
  • We will not be liable for any failure to perform our Services due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, or governmental actions.
  1. Termination
  • Either party may terminate the agreement by providing written notice if the other party breaches any of these terms and fails to remedy the breach within 14 days of receiving written notice.
  • In the event of termination, the Client will be responsible for paying for Services rendered up to the date of termination.
  1. Governing Law
  • These T&Cs shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes will be resolved through the courts of England and Wales (or other appropriate jurisdiction within the UK, such as Scotland or Northern Ireland, depending on your location).
  1. Acceptance of Terms
  • By engaging our Services, the Client agrees to these T&Cs. If the Client does not agree to these terms, they should not proceed with the engagement.
